Police arrest knife-wielding juvenile: At 12:34 a.m. June 7 in the 1000 block of Southwest 31st Street, police responded to a report that a juvenile displayed a knife during a confrontation about stolen chips. The victim said a female associated with the youth stole the chips. Officers located the juvenile, whom the victim positively identified. Police located the knife and logged it into evidence. The suspect was booked into the King County Juvenile Detention Center.

Woman calls police after dispute over child supervision: At 8:02 p.m. June 6 in the 32000 block of 18th Avenue Southwest, a woman reported she was unlawfully imprisoned at her apartment complex. The problem started when someone observed her 10-year-old daughter had no adult supervision in the pool area and felt uncomfortable leaving the child alone and asked her to get her mother. The mother and the concerned person got into an argument, and the mother felt like she couldn’t leave. The woman told police her daughter was being watched by an adult whom she didn’t know. Four other adults confirmed to police, however, that the child was not being supervised.

Graffiti reported at Weyerhaeuser complex: At 8:39 a.m. June 5 in the 33000 block of Weyerhaeuser Way South, an officer responded to a report of malicious mischief at the Weyerhaeuser complex entrance. The security guard reported that somebody spray-painted on the gates of the property two days earlier. Two gates, a gate post, a curb, a sign and two posts surrounding a fire hydrant had been sprayed with blue paint. The suspect(s) wrote “Dracula Milk,” “D-Milk” and “Crip” as well as the numbers five and nine. Estimated cost of repair is $50.

Girl wandering complex looking for mother: At 9:49 a.m. June 4 in the 35000 block of 25th Avenue Southwest, a 3-year-old girl was found wandering the Crystal Pointe Apartments complex. After speaking with a neighbor, officers located the girl’s residence. The child’s aunt said she was asked if she could watch the child after the mother left the apartment crying. The aunt said she fell asleep, and the child left. The mother’s whereabouts were unknown, and the little girl said she was “looking for mommy.”

Man with gun arrested after threats: At 3:46 a.m. June 4 in the 1500 block of South 328th Street, officers contacted a man for making threats involving a gun. Police found the man had a gun in his possession and was a convicted felon. The suspect was arrested and booked into SCORE jail.

Doughnuts eaten during break-in: At 8:09 p.m. June 3 at 34720 Second Lane S., an officer responding to a commercial alarm at Fox Run Apartments spoke to the manager, who reported she discovered an open window to the office. She noted someone may have entered through the window and eaten some doughnuts. Nothing else was damaged or missing.

Gunshots reported, fire discovered: At 2:03 a.m. June 3 in the 2000 block of South Star Lake Road, an officer responded to an illegal discharge-type call. The officer spoke to a woman who said she heard two people arguing and then sounds of four gunshots. She said a fire alarm sounded and she saw smoke coming from an apartment. After forced entry into the apartment, the officer found evidence of a small fire on the stove. No one was at the residence.

Drunk men arrested over hat purchases: At 6:23 p.m. June 2 at The Commons mall, two intoxicated men were arrested after purchasing hats from a kiosk. One of the suspects thought he had been overcharged and argued loudly with the merchant, who called for mall security. Both men continued to confront the merchant after security responded, and did not stop after Federal Way officers arrived. While investigating, one of the men attempted to leave after being asked to provide identification. When told he could not leave, the man pushed the officer and grabbed his arm. The suspect’s brother then tried to get involved in the altercation and was taken down by mall security. Both were eventually handcuffed and later booked into SCORE jail for disorderly conduct, assault and resisting arrest.

Determined thief steals boat motor: At 10:54 a.m. June 2 in the 35000 block of Pacific Highway South, a person called 911 to report the motor from his boat had been stolen. He reported parking the boat inside a fenced area the day before, but the suspect(s) cut through the fence and cut the wiring to the motor and removed the mounting bolts before making off with the motor, valued at $8,000.

Unruly passenger gets kicked out of car: At 1:28 p.m. June 1 in the 2300 block of South 317th Street, an Uber driver reported he picked up a passenger from a local apartment complex. The woman then became unruly and then punched/slapped the driver on the right side of his head, hurting his right ear. The driver terminated the ride and made the woman get out. The woman was last seen on foot on South 317th Street.
