Isiah Umipig — The Federal Way High School grad is playing his sophomore season at Cal-State Fullerton. The 6-foot point guard has started all 28 of the Titans’ games this season and is averaging 13.8 points a game, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Cal-State Fullerton is 20-8 on the season and sit in second place in the Big West Conference heading into the league’s tournament. According to ESPN’s Bracketology, Fullerton would have to win the Big West Tournament to get a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Michael Hale III — The Federal Way High School graduate is playing his junior season at the University of Texas-San Antonio. The 5-foot-8 point guard transferred after playing two seasons at North Idaho College. Hale is averaging 9.6 points for the 17-13 Roadrunners. He tallied a career-high 26 points during a 90-85 loss to Oklahoma State earlier this season.

Jeffrey Forbes — The 2009 Federal Way grad is playing his junior year at Eastern Washington University. The point guard has started all 30 of the Eagles’ games this season and is averaging 6.5 points and 2.8 rebounds. Eastern is 14-16, including wins over Hawaii and Idaho, among others. The Eagles finished fourth in the Big Sky Conference during the regular season and will play Idaho State on Saturday in the opening round of the league tournament.

Aaron Broussard — The Federal Way grad is playing his senior season as the captain on the Seattle University team. He was named a preseason, first-team All-Independent by CollegeSportsMadness.com after leading the Redhawks last season with 14.5 points and 7.7 rebounds a game. This year, Broussard is averaging a team-high 17.8 points and 6.5 rebounds a game for the 11-15 Redhawks. Broussard scored a career-high 34 points during a 91-68 win over Eastern Washington on Jan. 16. He was 12 of 18 from the field. He also had 33 in a win over Longwood on Feb. 11. Broussard has led Seattle U in scoring in 18 of their 26 games this year.

Cole Dickerson — The 2010 Federal Way grad is playing his sophomore season at the University of San Francisco.  The 6-foot-7 forward has played in all 30 USF games this season and is averaging 6.5 points and 3.6 rebounds for the Dons, who are 18-12 on the season, including a win over Gonzaga. Dickerson played in 27 USF games and averaged 7.9 minutes a game last year. Dickerson averaged two points a game and grabbed 2.3 rebounds.

Jerron Smith — The 2011 Decatur grad is playing his freshman season at Portland State. Smith, a 6-foot-3 guard, has played in eight games this season and is averaging 2.8 points a game. Portland State is 15-13 on the season and playing Montana State in the first-round of the Big Sky Tournament on Saturday.

Kevin Davis — The 2010 Beamer graduate is playing this season at Central Washington University as a sophomore. He transferred after playing a season at Tacoma Community College. Davis is averaging 12.2 points and 7.4 rebounds a game for the Wildcats, who are 15-12 on the season. Last year at TCC, Davis averaged 8.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks a game at TCC. Davis had committed to the University of Washington to play basketball for the Huskies as a high school senior, but instead joined TCC as a freshman.

Dan Young — The 6-foot-10 Federal Way grad is playing his senior year at Western Washington. He transferred to Western after two seasons at Highline CC. The center is averaging 2.7 points and 2.7 rebounds a game for the 25-4 Vikings this season. Last year, Young played in 26 games and averaged 4.5 points and 3.2 rebounds a game. The Vikings are the top-ranked team in the Division II West Region and start their postseason on March 9.

Cam Schilling — The 2009 Decatur graduate recently finished his junior season on the Pacific Lutheran basketball team. He has started all 25 games this season and averaged 13.3 points and 6.8 rebounds for the Lutes, who were 12-13 on the year. He was an honorable mention, All-Northwest Conference selection for the Lutes and added an outside shooting presence to his offensive repertoire this season. Schilling shot 40 percent (25-for-62) from behind the 3-point line. Schilling, a 6-foot-4 forward, started 24 games for the Lutes last season and averaged 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds a game.

Travis Wagner — The Decatur High School grad recently finished his junior at Evergreen State University for the Geoducks. The 6-foot-4 forward averaged 8.0 points and 4.1 rebounds a game. Evergreen State finished 1-26 on the season.

Eric Radford — The 2010 Thomas Jefferson grad recently finished his sophomore season at the University of Redlands in California. The 6-foot-5 guard started 24 games this season and averaged 4.7 points and 2.3 rebounds a game for the 13-13 Bulldogs.
