Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:
• Slinging beef: At 4:25 a.m. May 4 in the 29625 Pacific Highway South, a suspect threw a bag of beef stronganoff at a convenience store clerk.
• Stolen DJ equipment: At 8:46 p.m. May 2 at 1320 S. 324th Street, a victim was loading his or her disc jockeying equipment into a vehicle parked in the PJ Pockets parking lot when the equipment was stolen.
• Purse snatching: At 10:43 p.m. May 4 in the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road, a victim arrived home and began walking toward her apartment when a male came up from behind and snatched her purse.
• Lewd conduct: At 7:01 p.m. May 4 in the 31000 block of 16th Place Southwest, a suspect exposed his genitals to a victim as she was walking.
• Road rage: At 5:17 p.m. May 4 in the 1200 block of South 320th Street, officers responded to a report of a vehicle damaged during a road rage incident. The suspect was identified and arrested.
• Transit center crack down: At 11:17 a.m. May 4 at 31621 23rd Ave. S., officers contacted a suspect who was smoking at the transit center. The suspect was arrested on a warrant. The suspect was found in possession of heroin and booked into jail.
• Missing diamond earrings: At 11:13 a.m. May 3 in the 32400 block of 12th Avenue Southwest, a victim discovered her $4,000 diamond earrings missing from her jewelry box at home.
• Sexting: At 8:19 a.m. April 30 in the 1500 block of Southwest 321st Street, a mother reported her 12-year-old child had received a sexual message on a cell phone from a 12-year-old schoolmate.
• DUI/warrant pick-up: At 12:46 a.m. May 4 at 1520 S. 348th St., police contacted two women occupying a vehicle that was reported in connection to a possible drunken driving scenario. The driver was intoxicated and her husband was called to retrieve her. The passenger had a DOC escape warrant and was arrested.
