William Roy Burks

William Roy Burks died Nov. 10, 2006, in Belt, Mont., at age 68 after a brave fight against cancer. He was a former Federal Way resident for more than 20 years.

He was born March 8, 1938, in Lone Pine, Calif. He worked for K&K Trucking and Bobby Wolford Trucking. Survivors include his wife, Terrentia Burks, of Montana; stepfather Jack Vanhorn of Montana; brother Wally (Terri) Burks of Montana; sister Donna Randall of Iowa; sons Craig (Lisa) Burks of California, Anthony (Linda) Burks of Montana; daughters Laura Burks of Federal Way, Billie Adams of California, Sherri Issak of California; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Vera and Ellsworth Burks. Schnider Funeral Home in Montana handled the arrangements.
