Sanders S. Blakeney 72, died November 12, 2013 at home with his family at his side. Beloved husband for over 50 years of Bettye Blakeney; father of Krista Blakeney-Mitchell and her husband James Mitchell and Kelli BlakeneyRobinson and her husband Dennis Robinson;grandfather of Kye Robinson, Sanders Robinson, Jeremiah Mitchell, Julius Mitchell and Dakota Robinson; brother of Meredith

Brooks (deceased) and Lawrence Blakeney. Also survived

by numerous relatives and friends. After graduating from Andrews University he completed medical school at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He served in the US Army for 5 years completing his residency in OB/GYN at the Madigan

Army Medical Center. Prior to his solo practice, Dr. Blakeney was a member of Stork & Associates in Federal Way, WA. He retired from private practice on October 31, 2013. His desire for the well-being of others and his great spirit will be missed…forever.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Tahoma Seventh Day Adventist Church, 615 N. Sprague Ave., Tacoma.
