Alene H. Gifford of Federal Way, known to family and friends as Morny, died March 28. She was 87.

She was born Sept. 29, 1917 in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to Lee and Bertha Hudson. She was a Federal Way resident since 1970, most recently at The Woodmark. She retired from Sears in 1983.

Survivors include her daughter Carla Newman of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; son, John Tabor of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

There will be no service.
