Helen A. Mossett died June 18 in Auburn. She was 83.
Born Sept. 6, 1918 in Hillsview, S.D., she was a 15-year Auburn resident, coming from Federal Way where she lived for 33 years, and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Auburn.
She is survived by her children Harlin Mossett of San Pablo, Calif., Jimmy Mossett and Rocky Mossett, both of Las Vegas, Lila Pruyne of Casa Grande, Ariz., Betty Vance of Federal Way, Shirley McDowell of Bellevue, and Debbie Brooke of Renton; sister, Rose Moser of Federal Way; 24 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three children, Karen, Chester and Larry.
Vigil services will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23 in the Price-Helton Funeral Chapel, 702 Auburn Way N. Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Holy Family Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery in Federal Way.
