Ruth B. Aney of Federal Way died Feb. 11 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. She was 84.

Born Sept. 1, 1919 in Mount Vernon, she married Alton Aney on June 25, 1943 in Everett.

An avid baseball fan, she was a 23-year member of the Seattle Mariners Women’s Club.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Burn of Federal Way, and Mary Swift of Renton; son, Jim Aney of Sumner; sister, Mary A. Thompson of New York City; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Feb. 21 at Life Way Church in Federal Way.
