The season didn’t end the way the Todd Beamer High School girls soccer team had hoped.

The season didn’t end the way the Todd Beamer High School girls soccer team had hoped.

Despite being the top-ranked team in the state of Washington for most of the season and winning the school’s fourth-straight South Puget Sound League South Division championship, Beamer was upset by the Tahoma Bears at the West Central District Tournament.

Despite the postseason disappointment, Holland Crook was pretty much unstoppable for the Titans. The junior, who has already committed to Arizona State University, tallied 18 goals to lead Beamer in scoring for the third season in a row. Crook’s exploits earned her the SPSL South’s Player of the Year honors for the second year in a row, as well as her second-straight Mirror player of the year.

Crook was born to play soccer. her father is former professional soccer player Bill Crook, who played for the Tacoma Stars of the Major Indoor Soccer League, among others.

In total, Crook has totaled 46 goals during her three seasons at Beamer. As a freshman, she was the team’s leading scoring with nine goals and eight assists in just eight matches before tearing the miniscus in her left knee. Last year, Crook had 19 goals and four assists, including hat tricks in four-straight matches.
