A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured in a Federal Way crosswalk on Tuesday afternoon.

Federal Way police are directing traffic during the investigation at Pacific Highway South and South 312th Street.

The woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center, said Cathy Schrock, Federal Way Police Department spokeswoman.

Police have not confirmed if the woman was walking with the walk signal illuminated or not.
