Federal Way police arrested a man after a road rage incident that led to a carjacking.

The incident began early Saturday morning at an Arco gas station in Federal Way when the suspect, Shane Atonio, broke out the window of a woman’s vehicle. Atonio then followed the woman to an apartment complex in Kent.

Another confrontation occurred in the parking lot of the apartment complex and Atonio reportedly fired one or two shots from a pistol.

The victim fled to the Castaway Tavern. While waiting in her car, Atonio allegedly approached the victim on foot and robbed her of her vehicle at gunpoint.

Atonio is being held on a $250,000 bond at the King County Correctional Facility in Seattle. He is charged with robbery, assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
