The Federal Way library, 34200 1st Way S., will host an informative event to help attendees learn more about refugees in the U.S.

Attendees can learn how refugees get to the United States, what sort of support is available for them and the common experiences of people recently arrived to our shores.

It will help the community understand the difference between refugees, asylees and immigrants, and it will delve into the contexts of refugee resettlement.

The discussion will be facilitated by Andrew Kritovich, Clinical Director of International Counseling & Community Services, Lutheran Community Services NW.

The event is open to the public and will be held March 1 from 2-4 p.m. It is offered in conjunction with the City Vision of Federal Way meeting and is sponsored by the Friends of the Federal Way Libraries and City Vision.

Join the conversation: Meet Federal Way service providers at 2 p.m., then learn about our refugee neighbors at 2:30 p.m.
