What is wrong with our current political posturing for president by the candidates? We never see or hear them talk about the real issues. We never get a plan as to what they will do to correct many of our current governmental problems and challenges. We only get candidates that attack their opponents on a personal basis like third-graders. Are you as tired of this as I am?
I long for substance in all of the debates, which is, to date, non-existent. It seems to me that until we insist that the major TV conglomerates/networks ask real questions and expect real answers that we will never see “substance” in these debates. We can’t even insist that the TV conglomerates/stations manage the volume of commercials — scary.
All of this does not mean that we shouldn’t try.
So, let us (all of us) write to the presenters of these debates and ask them to insist on straight and real answers.
I am unsure of what else we can do as members of America’s voting public except insisting, with an overwhelming amount of letters, that this issue be resolved.
