Celebrate 10 years of chamber music with Auburn Symphony Orchestra

From staff reports

The Auburn Symphony Orchestra, celebrating its 10th year, will host an afternoon of classical music at 4 p.m. on March 13 at Saint Matthew Episcopal Church (123 L St. NE, Auburn).

The symphony will perform Beethoven’s “Archduke” Piano Trio, op. 97, in B flat Major and Schumann’s Piano Quartet, op. 47, in E flat Major. Both are serene favorites that highlight the melodic blend of piano and strings and pay tribute to the opening concert of Auburn Symphony’s chamber series ten years ago. Violinists Lynn Johnson and Steve Bryant, violist Sue Jane Bryant, cellist Brian Wharton and pianist Christina Siemens are the featured musicians on this program, Johnson and Wharton having played the inaugural concert in January 2006.

Tickets ($18 for adults and seniors, $10 for students) are available in advance online (auburnsymphony.org) or by calling 253-887-7777. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The box office opens 60 minutes prior to concert time, and doors open 30 minutes prior to concert time. Refreshments will be served at intermission.
