Meet Reggie | Pet of the Week

Reggie is a 10-year-old male dog, Karelian Bear Dog and Border Collie Mix, about 70 pounds (ID #A492244).

Reggie is a 10-year-old male dog, Karelian Bear Dog and Border Collie Mix, about 70 pounds (ID #A492244).

Reggie may be considered a senior, but he is very active and energetic… and a bit of an escape artist! He can get out of fenced yards and go off on his own adventures. He’s been hit several times crossing busy roads, but that doesn’t stop him from trying. He also tugs on his leash fairly hard when going for walks.

Reggie knows how to sit on command and is very sweet and friendly. He loves meeting new people and going for walks. Because of his size and energetic nature, Reggie would do best in a home with kids 12 and older, and he’ll need a secure fenced yard under close watch to make sure he doesn’t escape. He would also need to meet any dogs in your home before being adopted.

If you’re looking for an active older guy to be a walking buddy, Reggie could be the one for you! You can find out more about him on his PetFinder profile, www.petfinder.com/petdetail/34990750, and you can meet Reggie in person, along with additional animals available for adoption, seven days a week at RASKC’s King County Pet Adoption Center in Kent (21615 64th Ave. S.) on Mondays from 3-6 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. For information, contact 206-296-PETS or pets@kingcounty.gov.
