Federal Way Football Club beats competitor

The Federal Way Football Club won against their Puyallup competitor with a score of 4-0 during the club’s second annual Fight Night Jan. 14.

The Federal Way Football Club won against their Puyallup competitor with a score of 4-0 during the club’s second annual Fight Night Jan. 14.

The Federal Way club’s girls U18 Blue Team hosted Puyallup, Washington Premier FC in a match between two First Division Regional Club League Teams.

Federal Way Football Club had 10 ladies on the field with fall 2015 college commitments.

In addition to the match, the Federal Way Football Club held a ceremony for all of their outgoing U18 players.

Their club offers soccer opportunities to youth at all levels of competition. Some of the players have been playing soccer in Federal Way since they were 5 years old.

“This event is an opportunity for our young players to come together with the old and share in the fun of youth soccer in Federal Way,” said Joshua  Cheatham, president of the club. “We are proud of Federal Way’s Soccer club and we are proud to be an organization that serves our community.”

Players include Abby Smith, Chentay Warnes, Dacia Alexander, Maddie Michaud, Marlaina Trahant, Mary Witkowski, Molly Mortensen, Morgan Roan, Rachel Stowell and Tanna Brinkman.

The Federal Way Football Club partnered with the Multi-Service Center to collect canned food at the event to assist in feeding those in need.
