According to the report, the witness saw the men leave in a newer model Ford F150. Police were unable to locate the vehicle or the suspects. South King Fire was able to extinguish the fire.

• Two beers stolen: At 10:25 a.m. Jan. 14 in the 31000 block of 20th Avenue South, loss prevention officers for Top Foods observed a suspect stealing two beers. According to the report, the suspect was able to leave the premises, but was shortly located by police. The suspect admitted to the theft of the two beers after being read his Miranda rights.

• Alarm goes off: At 8:17 p.m. Jan. 14 in the 2100 block of SW 318th Street, the victims reported their home security system alarm had been triggered. According to the report, the victims arrived home to find their front door busted in. Police cleared the house, and the victims indicated it did not appear that any possessions had been stolen.

• Cigarette roller sparks an argument: At 9:07 p.m. Jan. 14 in the 30000 block of 4th Place SW, police responded to a call of a domestic dispute between a man and his girlfriend. According to the report, nothing physical had happened, and the cause of the argument was over a cigarette roller.

• Botched grand theft auto: At 4:14 a.m. Jan. 13 in the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road, a juvenile entered a vehicle illegally and attempted to steal it. The juvenile was observed by a witness, and the police were able to make an arrest.

• ID theft in the ER room: At 12:04 p.m. Jan. 13 in the 34000 block of 9th Avenue South, the victim reported possible ID theft. According to the report, the victim indicated someone had attempted to use her name and information at the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital over the summer.

• Buyer beware: At 1:31 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 1600 block of South 272nd Street, the reporting party indicated he had agreed to buy a motorhome over eBay. According to him, he had wire transferred the money to the seller. According to the report, the seller denies ever receiving the funds.

• Burglary: At 1:24 p.m. Jan. 13 in the 28000 block of 20th Avenue South, the victim reported being burglarized. According to the report, a PlayStation 3 and $1,500 in gold rings were stolen.

• RX pain meds go missing: At 4:36 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 30000 block of 14th Avenue South, the victim reported that a bottle of the prescription pain killer Tramadol had gone missing. According to the report, the victim believed it may have been a friend who had been over the night before who took the medication. The victim did not wish to pursue the matter further, according to the report.

• Child left behind at school: At 6:05 p.m. Jan. 13 in the 2400 block of Star Lake Road, a 6-year-old child was never picked up from school. According to the report, attempts to contact the child’s parents were unsuccessful for a time, until they finally got a hold of the child’s mother. Relatives of the child took the child home.
