Multi-Service Center’s Youth Career and Resource Fair runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 19 in the student union building at Highline Community College, 2400 S. 240th St., Des Moines. The event is free and open to South King County residents ages 16 to 24. Attendees should dress in “business casual” attire, be prepared for interviews and bring copies of their resumes.

Participants can take advantage of classes in resume writing, interview skills, budgeting basics and career exploration. Representatives from top local companies, area community colleges and the U.S. military will be available to talk with participants about opportunities within their organizations.

Following is a partial list of companies that will be represented: Express Credit Union, Safeway, Starbucks, Century 21 Real Estate, Habitat for Humanity, Pace, McClendon Hardware, Verizon, Kroontje Law Firm, Song of India, along with Highline, Green River, and South Seattle Community Colleges, and the U.S. Army, Marines and Navy.
