Brigadoon Elementary School is bringing back its preschool program and is currently enrolling students.

Like other programs in the district, the preschool program at Brigadoon is a combination of students with special needs and typically developing students. Teachers in the preschool program are all special education certified, and many are dual certified in general education and special education. The special needs students learn what is typical behavior from their peers, while the typically developing students learn acceptance and diversity. Both groups learn topics typically taught in a preschool setting.

Brigadoon will be hosting a summer evening enrollment event for kindergarten and preschool from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at the school library, 3601 S.W. 336th St. The preschool program is for children ages 3 and 4 and costs $190 a month. Call (253) 945-2401.
