Diversity punishes Federal Way kids | Letters

(RE: “School board president: ‘No going backwards’ with academic policy”): Let’s just cut through the chase. The Federal Way School Board represented by president Tony Moore is not that concerned about higher education and elevating the bar at Thomas Jefferson High School.

No! What is the real center of attention here is one word — diversity. At the expense of going forward and challenging the students, that is what should be the focus of the board. Students should be committed to doing great things in life in a professional capacity. You are restricting them just so that Federal Way schools can become more diverse in a society that is becoming as dysfunctional as the family of Florida murder suspect Casey Anthony.

Damn the diversity. You are punishing the children at the expense of being politically correct! You sir are out of order.
