I was surprised to see a significant mistake on the inside front cover of the Winter 2011 Parks Calendar that I received on Nov. 20. Linda Kochmar’s name is omitted from the list of Federal Way City Council members.

Whoever put the material together had the foresight to list Skip Priest as mayor. But that person, and anyone else who proofread the brochure, should have realized that even though she is no longer our mayor as of Nov. 23, Linda Kochmar is still a member of the city council — and a hard-working, dedicated council member at that.

Councilmember Kochmar deserves a formal apology from the Parks Department for this egregious error.
