Pacific Highway construction update

• The fencing subcontractor will install fence and reset the original chain-link fence beside the driveway near the Overlook Condominiums, 29645 18th Ave. S., through July 2.

• The electrical subcontractor continues to work on street lighting. Northbound lighting will be fully energized by the end of this week, with the exception of two street lights that will be placed on top of the wall near Soundview Apartments, 28425 18th Ave. S., after the wall is completed.

• Cable will be installed on the southbound side of Pacific Highway South as sidewalks are poured.

• Paving the first lift of asphalt from the View at Redondo Apartments, 29421 Pacific Highway S., south to the south project limit is scheduled for the week of June 30, weather permitting. Curb and gutter will be placed in this same location between July 7-8.

• Sidewalks and driveways will continue to be poured on the southbound side of the project until July 2.

• The storm water vault and water quality vault will be installed in the median at the north end of the project through July 2. Connecting storm drainage pipe will be installed beginning July 1 and continue at least through July 11.

• Forms for fascia panels for the wall near the Soundview Apartments are being constructed and set. The top half of the first pour will occur on June 30.

• Expect daytime lane closures for much of this work.

No work will be done on July 4 in commemoration of Independence Day.
