SOFTBALL

Jefferson — The Raiders needed only five innings to beat the Kent-Meridian Royals Monday afternoon, 20-0. Jefferson scored in every inning and improved to 5-2 on the season. No individual stats were provided.

Decatur — The Gators (0-7) remained winless on the season with a 28-0 loss to the Peninsula Seahawks Monday. Decatur had only one hit against Aspen Ison and committed eight errors in the field.

BASEBALL

Jefferson — The Raiders (5-2) picked up a solid 6-3 win over the Kent-Meridian Royals Monday. Jefferson finished with just five hits on the day, but got a solid pitching performance from Jordan Price. Price pitched six innings and struck out eight to get the win.

Nico DelaCruz led the TJ offense by finished 1 for 3 with two RBIs. Mark Fitzgerald was 1 for 2 with a run, RBI and a double.

Decatur — The Peninsula Seahawks tallied nine runs in the their final two at-bats Monday to beat Decatur, 16-7, in SPSL 3A action in Federal Way. Peninsula finished with 11 hits and the Gators (2-10) had nine and also committed four errors in the field.

SOCCER

Jefferson — The Kentwood Conquerors got a pair of goals from Keaton Gray and beat the Raiders, 2-1, Monday night in a key SPSL North battle. Jefferson’s (6-2-1) lone goal came from Jacob Thoreson.
