The Thomas Jefferson Raiders lost their first game of the season Thursday to the Tahoma Bears, 7-4. The loss drops the Raiders to 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the South Puget Sound League North Division. It also drops TJ one game back of Kentwood (4-0).

Tahoma (5-3, 3-2) tallied three runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed during the game. Also killing the Raiders was an uncharacteristic six errors on the defensive side.

Jefferson’s Austin Campbell finished 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a home run and Travis Quakenbush finished 2 for 3.

Auburn Riverside scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning to take a commanding 10-0 lead over Federal Way Thursday. The Eagles (4-4, 2-3) tried to comeback, scoring six runs in their final two at bats, but it wasn’t enough. Auburn Riverside won 10-6 on Federal Way’s home field.

Elliot Morris connected on a three-run home run in the seventh inning and Terin Beck finished 2 for 4 with two RBIs and a double for the Eagles.

The Curtis Vikings were too much for the Decatur Gators Thursday, winning 5-1. Nelson Atkinson scored the Gators’ lone run during the loss.

The Todd Beamer Titans blasted Spanaway Lake Thursday, 16-6, in five innings. The Titans (5-3, 3-2) scored 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to overcome a 6-3 deficit.

Kenny Johnson finished 1 for 3 with two runs and a solo home run, Daniel Lee was 1 for 1 with two RBIs and Mac Gridley finished 1 for 2 with three runs.
