Would you please pass this on to Patty MacDougall or other interested parties (“Serial cat mutilation in Twin Lakes,” letters, Aug. 21):
Last summer, I think it was in early August, we had a similar incident occur in our neighborhood. The front half of someone’s kitten, pink collar and all, was left in the middle of the road where South 321st Street and 10th Avenue South intersect, across from the public library. I hadn’t taken a very close look and thought it had been a dog attack, but my husband said it had been cut in half. Neither of us had time to look at the collar or investigate, and we feel terrible for not taking the time to report it, since it appears to be an escalating pattern. This kind of behavior may evolve into attacks on humans, so I hope others report related incidents to help find the perpetrator.
