The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• At 11:36 a.m. Oct. 28 in the 34500 block of 9th Avenue South, police responded to a call from a person who was concerned about a child born addicted to cocaine. The child’s mother told police she used the drug every day of her pregnancy. The child was placed into protective custody and later transferred to the complainant.

• At 3:53 p.m. Oct. 28 at 31510 23rd Ave. S., an apartment manager called 911 after having not seen a resident for a week. Fire district personnel responded and found the victim deceased in the apartment. The King County Medical Examiner was called.

• At 6:43 p.m. Oct. 28 in the 28600 block of 14th Avenue South, a man reported that a Boeing credit check revealed his identity had been stolen. A woman using his Social Security number racked up $1,289 in collections fees. The victim stated several co-workers’ identities were stolen a few years ago when he worked at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

• At 10:50 p.m. Oct. 28 at 31006 Pacific Highway S., a suspect agreed to have sexual intercourse with three undercover police detectives for $250.

• At 1:43 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road, a robbery victim approached the suspects and was threatened with a gun. Later, area checks for the suspects were unsuccessful.

• At 3:59 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 32900 block of 19th Place South, a green Honda was found to have switched license plates. This was the third time the vehicle was found with stolen plates, but the plates were not reported stolen. Police were unable to reach the actual owner of the license plates.

• At 6:07 a.m. Oct. 27 at 30405 Pacific Highway S., officers responded to an armed robbery. Both suspects displayed semi-automatic guns.

• At 6:52 a.m. Oct. 26 at 30611 16th Ave. S., a victim received a threatening voicemail from a student attending the school. The message was a death threat. The student admitted making the threat and was expelled.

• At 11:21 a.m. Oct. 27 at 30936 16th Place S.W., a woman reported a suspicious male followed her around an apartment complex. He asked her to coffee but she refused. The woman called police when the man would not cease debating her about the invitation.

• At 12:56 p.m. Oct. 27 at 1900 S. 314th St., a person called to report a suspicious man at a fast food restaurant. The man was yelling loudly and had facial injuries. He told police he caused the injuries by hitting himself.

• At 2:03 p.m. Oct. 27 at 1207 S. 320th St., a vehicle was discovered missing its back license plates. The vehicle had been parked for three days.

• At 7:44 p.m. Oct. 27 at 31014 Pacific Highway S., two suspects were arrested for stealing $200 worth of recyclable cardboard.
