Jillian Rae Carter, 18, of Tacoma has been charged with first degree assault in connection to the Dec. 20 stabbing of Jordan Micheau, 19, of Federal Way.
On 9 p.m. Wednesday, Carter turned herself in to police in connection to the 4:25 p.m. Dec. 20 stabbing that took place at a Chevron station, 2125 SW 356th St. Micheau was stabbed six times in the chest and the left side. She suffered a punctured lung and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.
Micheau identified Carter after the attack and police named the woman a person of interest in the case soon after.
According to charging documents, Carter and a friend arrived at the gas station. They saw Micheau, a known person whom Carter had disagreements with, and went next door to a restaurant. They later returned to the gas station.
There, Micheau quickly approached Carter, threw her to the ground and punched her before Carter stabbed Micheau. The fight was in regards to Micheau’s ex-boyfriend.
Both women fled the scene. Micheau was found nearby in a vehicle after she called 911. She told police she was the aggressor and was not armed during the fight, and that Carter knew the fight was inevitable.
Carter is jailed. Her bail is set at $10,000. She is scheduled for arraignment Jan. 5.
