Choice enrollment for secondary students in Federal Way Public Schools is currently open and continues through the end of February.
Choice enrollment is a process that allows students to enroll in a school that is located outside of a student’s residence service area or district.
Students in fifth through 12th grade who live inside the Federal Way school district boundaries are eligible to participate during this time.
To choice into a school or program, the student’s parent or guardian must complete a Federal Way Public Schools change of school enrollment application. More information about the program is available at www.fwps.org/info/choice/ or by contacting Paula Curtis at (253) 945-2013, or pcurtis@fwps.org.
Forms can be picked up at the district’s Educational Service Center (ESC), 33330 Eighth Ave. S. in Federal Way, or at any Federal Way public school. A list of schools that currently have openings is available at the ESC. Secondary school choice applications are due by 4:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the ESC.
New this year, families can fill out a choice enrollment form online. The online application is available through February.
