Decatur High School’s Concert Choir will present “The Stars Are Out Tonight” on Friday, March 13. Choir members will perform a variety of musical pieces while the audience enjoys a complete dinner catered by Chopstix Restaurant and Piano Bar in Tacoma.
The annual cabaret combines musical theatre with silent and live auctions. KIRO Radio personality Dave Ross returns this year to serve as emcee and auctioneer. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner scheduled for 6 p.m., and the show starting at 7 p.m. Show-goers are encouraged to buy their tickets early. Tickets are $20 per person.
This gala event will be held in the Decatur Performing Arts Center, 2800 S.W. 320th St., Federal Way. Proceeds will help fund the concert choir’s travel to compete in the Heritage Musical Festival in Los Angeles this May. In April 2008, the Decatur Concert Choir was awarded first place at the National Invitational Festival of Gold in New York City.
A show will be held without dinner at 7 p.m. March 12 at Decatur High School. Admission is $5. Refreshments available for purchase.
