Washington’s Most Wanted criminals include an accused sex offender and kidnapper from Federal Way.
The U.S. Marshals Pacific NW Fugitive Apprehension Task Force arrested Andrew Jason Trotman just after 8 p.m. June 6 in Renton. Trotman is accused of pimping out young girls, according to the Washington’s Most Wanted website.
Federal Way police report that Trotman allegedly choked, beat and raped a 17-year-old girl that he tried to force into prostitution. The girl escaped and ran to Northgate Mall, but according to police, Trotman dragged her out of a restroom and beat her in the nearby library parking lot.
Trotman, 36, is a registered Level 2 sex offender whose last known address was in the 32700 block of 29th Ave. SW in Federal Way. He stands 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, and is covered in tattoos.
In 2010, he was convicted of unlawful imprisonment and for attempted promoting commercial sexual abuse of a minor. In total, Trotman has 10 felony convictions, police report.
Trotman also cut off the GPS tracker that was strapped to his ankle, according to the website. He reportedly has connections to Federal Way, Issaquah and Renton.
